Every science has its key factors. The same is true for home feng shui. From the perspective of the external environment, the key elements of a good home feng shui can be summarized in three words: door, bedroom, and kitchen. It refers to opening the door, sleeping bed, and installing the stove, corresponding to the main door, bedroom, and kitchen of the residence respectively. These “three essentials” play a decisive role in home feng shui and should all be placed in auspicious positions.

One of the three essentials: the main door
Whether it is the three essentials of a yang house or the six matters of a yang house, the door is regarded as the first element of home feng shui. The door is the auspicious and inauspicious hub of the whole house, just like the human mouth. As the saying goes, diseases enter through the mouth, and it also emphasizes “eating for health”. So the status of the door in home feng shui can be seen.

The door of a house is called the qi mouth. Qi enters and exits through the door, and different gases exchange here. The door refers not only to the main door of the residence but also includes bedroom doors, kitchen doors, toilet doors, balcony doors, etc. The size of the door and the house should be properly configured. A large house with a small door is called “blocking qi”, and the occupants are prone to illness; a small house with a large door is called “losing qi”, which is a pattern of losing wealth and will make wealth decline. Apart from the influence of feng shui, regardless of illness and losing wealth, living in such a house will also feel uncomfortable.

A large room area should have a large door, such as the main door of a residence and a guest room. A small room area should have a small door, such as a bathroom and a study. Qi likes to circulate and avoid direct impact. When opening a door, attention should be paid to avoiding door-to-door and door-to-window. First, the air flow is easily dispersed and qi cannot gather inside the house; second, it is easy to generate evil spirits, cause disputes, diseases, and lead to the decline of fortune.

Second of the three essentials: the master bedroom
The “master bedroom” refers to the sleeping bed and installing the bed, corresponding to the bedroom where the owner lives in the modern home structure. The bedroom is a very private space. A person spends about one-third of their life in bed. The quality of bedroom feng shui greatly affects the quality of life and life fortune. The ancients were extremely particular about installing beds. Installing beds should choose auspicious days and times, and the placement of the bed should be guided by a professional feng shui master.

A friend always had poor sleep quality, was listless and drowsy every day, and also had migraines. I asked about it. Outside his master bedroom was a street lamp in the community, the kind that is always on. So the bedroom was also very bright at night, resulting in insufficient secretion of melatonin by the brain and a disordered endocrine system. Naturally, the body was not good. Under our suggestion, the curtain was replaced with a light-blocking curtain. After a week, the migraine was actually cured without treatment. This is the power of feng shui.

Modern people always talk about luxury houses and villas, mistakenly thinking that the larger the house area, the better. Yes, a large house area is impressive to talk about, but living in it may not be comfortable. Neither the residence nor the bedroom should be large. A large one will disperse qi, while a small one will gather qi. If there are few occupants and the house is large, people “cannot control” the house. The house bullies people and absorbs human qi. As the saying goes, “A large house with few people is an inauspicious house.” The Qianqing Palace (the emperor’s bedroom) in the Forbidden City in Beijing is only about ten square meters.

Third of the three essentials: the stove
The stove corresponds to our modern kitchen. The kitchen is the “domain” of women. Therefore, the kitchen has the greatest impact on the fortune of the hostess. The kitchen and bathroom are special spaces in the home. The kitchen has five elements of fire and produces oily fumes. The bathroom produces turbid qi. The layout of the two has a very obvious impact on the occupants, and we can easily feel it.

The kitchen should not be laid out in the center of the residence. Otherwise, it will cause “yang evil spirits to return to the heart”, which is unfavorable for health and wealth. The kitchen door should not be directly opposite the toilet door and should not be close to the bedroom. At the same time, the kitchen should try not to be in the northwest corner of the residence. Because the northwest corner is the “Qian hexagram”, corresponding to the family member is the male owner. The “Qian hexagram” has five elements of metal, and the kitchen has five elements of fire. Fire overcomes metal. So making a kitchen in the northwest corner will easily lead to health problems for the male owner. The solution is rather simple. The decoration of the kitchen should be based on the five elements of fire of the stove position and the five elements condition of the user. make choices. In short, we need to find that key point for everything we do. As long as we grasp the key points, we can quickly solve problems and achieve a good result.
