Manage your temper well and don’t let it ruin you!
At the moment when a person is angry, their IQ is zero. After a minute, it returns to normal. The key to a person’s elegance lies in controlling one’s emotions. Hurting people with words is the stupidest behavior. Our lack of freedom is usually because our inner negative emotions control us.
A man’s temper affects his career. A woman’s temper affects her marriage. Many people will have such questions: Is my career good? Is my family good? Are my children good? Is my marriage good? The answer is only one sentence: Is your temper good?
“As long as a person has a good temper, everything will be fine.”
People spend their whole lives learning to be human beings. Learning to be human is a lifelong matter and there is no graduation. In life, whether one is a scholar, farmer, artisan, or merchant, or any kind of person, as long as one keeps learning, there will be progress.
- Learn to admit mistakes
People often refuse to admit mistakes. They always say that everything is someone else’s fault and think that they are right. In fact, not admitting mistakes is a mistake. The object of admitting mistakes can be parents, friends, the general public, or even admitting mistakes to children or people who are not good to me. You will not lose anything. Instead, it shows that you are magnanimous. Learning to admit mistakes is beautiful and a great spiritual practice. - Learn to be gentle
People’s teeth are hard and their tongues are soft. At the end of life, all the teeth fall out, but the tongue will not fall out. So be soft, and life can be long. Being hard will only put you at a disadvantage. When the heart is soft, it is the greatest progress in spiritual practice. Generally, when describing a persistent person, it is said that your heart and your personality are very cold and hard, like steel. If we adjust our breath, body, and mind as Taoists say and slowly tame this heart like a wild horse or a monkey and make it soft, life can be lived more happily and longer. - Learn to be forbearing
In this world, if you hold back your anger, there will be calm. If you take a step back, there will be a vast expanse of sky. Forbearance can eliminate everything. Forbearance means being able to handle and resolve things. Use wisdom and ability to turn big things into small ones and small things into nothing. To live, to survive, and to have life, with forbearance, we can recognize the good and bad, right and wrong, and good and evil in the world. And even accept it. - Learn to communicate
We often have disputes, arguments, and misunderstandings due to lack of communication. So the most important thing is communication, mutual understanding, mutual consideration, and mutual help. We are all brothers. How can there be peace if we argue with each other and don’t communicate? - Learn to let go
Life is like a suitcase. When it is needed, we pick it up. When it is not needed, we put it down. When it is time to let go but we don’t, it is like dragging heavy luggage and we cannot be at ease. The years of life are limited. Admitting mistakes, respecting, and being inclusive can make people accept. Only by letting go can we be at ease! - Learn to be touched
When seeing others’ benefits, be happy. When seeing good people and good deeds, be touched. Being touched is a kind of love and compassion. In decades, many things and words have touched us. So we also try very hard to find ways to touch others. - Learn to survive
In order to survive, we must maintain good physical health. Good physical health is not only beneficial to ourselves but also reassuring to friends and family. So it is also an act of filial piety. Start from yourself. Before going to bed every night, ask yourself: Did I lose my temper today?
